If you are a student, and you have always wanted to participate in some important Smalltalk projects, there are some great news for you.
In a stiff competition among many candidate organizations, ESUG (European Smalltalk User Group) has been selected as one of the mentoring organizations for Google Summer of Code 2010!
This means that if you are a student, you can apply to participate in some of the Smalltalk projects listed for GSoC 2010, and if your application is accepted you will be given an opportunity to work on interesting Smalltalk project during the summer. If your final work during this period is accepted you will receive a nice compensation from Google. But even more important, being selected for GSoC will make your resume exceptional.
So, if you are interested hurry up to the ESUG GSoc site, since the deadline for student application (09. April) submission will come quickly!
